Alice Taylor, Sea Palling – 2nd August 2020
- Divers: Hayden, Dom
- Max Depth: 21,4 metres
- Dive Time: 35 minutes
- Water temperature: 17 degrees C
- Viz: 6 metres
- Dive Details: First dive on the Lowestoft Diver since all the enormous effort to move it Sea Palling, we met another dive boat out there who had a precise location for it as not much to target although we tried to shot it multiple times with failure until eventually we hooked in huzzah! Once we descended it was clear it was not hooked into the wreck but actually the cobbled bottom. Simon and Jane had descended slightly earlier and reeled off. Not wanting to reel in the same direction we went slightly west to their direction. The seabed was actually quite interesting and I would actually quite like a drift across it sometime. After about 75m of reeling we found the wreck and it was actually HUGE not sure how it did not show itself on the sounder as the other dive boats divers were there already. The wreckage was pretty broken up with no obvious structure but we didn’t venture too far due to having to swim back over the cobbles and back to the shot line. Despite this, there were loads of fish, mostly bib, but also lots of wrasse, cod and lobsters. Dive rating 4 out of 10
