St Brides Haven, Pembrokeshire – 2nd June 2022
This little bay was about a 10 minute drive from where we camping and ticked several boxes for our training requirements. We could park the cars (for free) in the parking area adjacent to the church. There were also toilets onsite and although it was quite busy we all managed to get a space to park and kit up.
It was a short walk along a little path through the trees and we were at the bay. There were 3 ways to get to the water, we took the right hand pathway which ended at some concrete steps down onto the sand and rocks. At high tide there wouldn’t be much further to go before you were in the water, but at low tide it was a quite far over slippery rocks.
I don’t know what the instructor to student ratio is with other agencies but Chris, the Ocean Diver trainee, had 2 instructors and 2 assistant instructors with him on his first open water dive. After adding more weight, Chris was ready to start his first open water lesson.
- Dive 1
