Childrens Corner, Lowestoft – 5th July 2022
After being informed that the visibility off Lowestoft beach was really good, 3 of us decided to dive there and see for ourselves.
We parked in the car park next to the East Point Pavilion which was free after 6pm and not far to walk to the entry point.
Dive 1
- Divers: Simon, Nigel, Will
- Max Depth: 3.9 metres
- Dive Time: 57 minutes
- Water temperature: 18 degrees C
- Viz: 1-2 metres
- Dive details: We walked in to the right of the first row of rocks and around the corner to East until the water was about chest deep. I put my mask on and descended briefly to see what the viz was like and was surprised to see a decent sized lobster. I came to the surface (with the lobster) so the other two could see, then let it go. We swam over to the outer row of rocks and slowly explored to the right. We saw lots of smaller lobsters and crabs. We eventually went around the end of the rocks and all the way along the other side. We came to the pier where we saw a shopping trolley. We turned around and headed back as we had to get the swimming pool to deliver cylinders, try dives and lessons.
