Rosalie, Weybourne – 12th July 2022
The conditions were good for a midweek dive off the Norfolk coast at Weybourne on the wreck of the Rosalie. We arrived at Weybourne car park just before 13:30 and bumped into some old friends who kindly shuffled up so we could park our car at the side of the road.
We entered the water and just after 2pm and swam/drifted towards the wreck with the remaining tide. We arrived at the part of the wreck that was above the waterline and descended at 14:19.
Dive 1
- Divers: Simon, Jane
- Max Depth: 8.5 metres
- Dive Time: 66 minutes
- Water temperature: 17 degrees C
- Viz: 4-5 metres
- Dive details: A lot more of the wreck has become exposed this year and the boiler on the starboard side has fallen over a little bit. There was plenty of life on the wreck, crabs lobsters, sea bass, wrasse, bib and eels. The bass were circling us and were so close you could almost touch them. When it was time to return we drifted back towards the car park and saw lots of sprats
