The Londoner, Sea Palling – 30th July 2022
We had a new sonar to test out so we arranged to meet up and launch early. We headed about 10 miles North of Sea Palling and were soon joined by another boat from the Peterborough club. We dropped the grapple and waited for slack tide.
We had a crew of five and no, non diving coxswain so we had to dive in two waves.

- Dive details: We descended the shot line down to the seabed finding the grapple in the sand. Fortunately it wasn’t far from the wreck as I could see it. I tied my distance line to the grapple and headed over to the large dark shape that turned out to be a boiler. We saw a very big lobster sheltering in a hole, lots of bib and some crabs. Ken had his camera and took the photo of the crab below.
