Rosalie, Weybourne – 14th August 2022
What better way to cool off after a hot sunny Sunday afternoon than to walk into the sea and dive on a wreck with the fish and crustaceans.
We met up in the car park at Weybourne just before 4:30. The car park was busy with lots of people enjoying the weather on the beach. There were several other divers there too. The low water slack walk in time was 17:42 but we aimed to get in at 17:15 and drift down towards the wreck with tide.
Dive 1
- Divers: Simon, Elaine
- Max Depth: 7.6 metres
- Dive Time: 65 minutes
- Water temperature: 19 degrees C
- Viz: 3-4 metres
- Dive details: We descended before we got to the wreck and swam to it . We came to the wreck just before the bow. We swam to the left and around the bow then all the along the starboard side of the wreck looking at all the plumose anemones, wrasse, bib, lobsters and crabs.
We swam the length of the wreck and turned around and headed back towards the bow. We swam along the prop shaft and saw the spare prop. We swam around the boilers and continued to the bow. The tide had already started to run, so when we got to the bow we decide to head back. We saw lots of crabs in the sand a flatfish that swam away really fast when the camera was pointed at it. The sandy bottom turned to stones at around 2 metres and we followed the shore line until it was time to get out.
