6 members of of Lowestoft Sub Aqua Club travelled to Stoney Cove in Leicestershire so that 2 of them could continue their Ocean Diver open water training. Setting off about 6am when it was only 3 degrees!

Dive 1
- Divers: Simon, Elaine, Wasil, Doris
- Max Depth: 8.2 metres
- Dive Time: 52 minutes
- Water temperature: 13 degrees C
- Viz: 3-4 metres
- Dive details: Stride entry from the quayside, descended and headed over to the training platform to perform some mask clearing and alternative source ascent exercises. We then looked under the pub arches at Nessie and lots of small perch. Then we went around the Nautilus and followed the cliff edge to the viscount cockpit. The inside of the cockpit was also full of small perch, no room for the big pike that can normally be found in there. We then headed back to the quayside where everyone got out using the ladder.
Dive 2
- Divers: Simon, Wasil, Doris
- Max Depth: 5.8 metres
- Dive Time: 7 minutes
- Water temperature: 13 degrees C
- Viz: 3-4 metres
- Dive details: We had to out of the water by 16:00 and after several delays the dive plan had to be adapted so that Wasil completed the controlled buoyant lift exercises but we didn’t have time to do the exploratory dive.
