Rosalie, Weybourne – 11th August 2022
After an invite from an old friend I met up at Weybourne with with 3 divers who all used to be members of Lowestoft Sub Aqua Club. We kitted up at the side of the car park, walk up the steps and over the shingle bank entering the water near the drainage pipe. We swam/drifted towards the wreck and descended at 15:00
Dive 1
- Divers: Simon, Mark, Mike
- Max Depth: 7.8 metres
- Dive Time: 77 minutes
- Water temperature: 20 degrees C
- Viz: 3-4 metres
- Dive details: Even though it was a low water slack tide, we didn’t swim all the way to the part of the wreck that was visible above the water. We descended closer to the shore and closer to the car park thinking we would swim to the wreck underwater. After descending just 4 metres we saw the bow of the wreck beside us. We explored the wreck heading down the starboard side. On our return to the bow we saw the other Mark and his buddy as we came around the side of the boilers. When it was time to end the dive we swam off the bow and headed South East until the sandy bottom became shingle. We then followed the shore line for a while before eventually surfacing and getting out onto the beach.
