Read more "13/14 July 2019 – Chesil Beach" →Following Saturdays diving at Gildenburgh, a few of the group dived in Stoney Cove on Sunday. Water temperatures were similar, viz was a little better and the wind had died down and the sun even came out occasionally, This short video is of 2 dives, the first one to the deep hydro box at 35 metres followed by the 20-metre area in the far end of Stoney Cove. The second dive started with the Wessex helicopter then the Stanegarth, Defiant, Belinda, APC, Gresham, pub arches and Nautilus.
Read more "28 April 2019 – Stoney Cove" →First UK open water dives of the year with Simon Boor, Nigel Powley, John Smith, Mark Owers, James Brown, Hayden Close and Paul McIlwaine. It was a cold and cloudy day and very windy. Water temperature went down to 6 degrees and viz ranged from half a metre to about 3 metres. We saw lots of crayfish, perch and a pike.

This year, he managed to persuade 4 other divers to go with him but 2 cancelled just before the weekend due to man flu.
Read more "25th February 2018 -Gildenburgh" →We returned to the site of the Fontenoy because our grapple got stuck there last week. When we arrived we saw the same dredger that was there 2 weeks ago and it was pumping large volumes of dirty water over the side.
Read more "3rd June 2017 – Fontenoy, off Lowestoft" →In preparation for the Lanzarote trip next month 4 members went to Stoney Cove to get some diving practice. Hopefully the temperature in Lanzarote will be warmer in March than the -2 degrees C it was in the UK. It had snowed the night before but that didn't seem to put off all the other divers who filled the bottom car park. We all arrived just before 10 and managed to park next to each other. I though we were mad going diving in such cold conditions but some people were doing it in wetsuits!
