Rosalie, Weybourne – 15th August 2022

  • August 15, 2022August 23, 2022
  • by LSAC

The sea conditions were still good to walk in off the beach, the visibility had improved slightly from the previous day and the low water slack time meant that members who work during the weekdays could enjoy an early evening dive. Low water slack walk in time was predicted to be just after 18:20, we got in earlier and drifted/finned on the surface to avoid the walk.

Rosalie, Weybourne – 14th August 2022

What better way to cool off after a hot sunny Sunday afternoon than to walk into the sea and dive on a wreck with the fish and crustaceans.

After an invite from an old friend I met up at Weybourne with with 3 divers who all used to be members of Lowestoft Sub Aqua Club. We kitted up at the side of the car park, walk up the steps and over the shingle bank entering the water near the drainage pipe. We swam/drifted towards the wreck and descended at 15:00

Clansman, Sea Palling – 31st July 2022

  • July 31, 2022August 15, 2022
  • by LSAC

The weather for today was forecast to be better than yesterday so we made arrangements to launch the RIB and all met up in the car park at Sea Palling at 10am. We had a last minute cancellation so that left us with a crew of five. We loaded the RIB, kitted up and were launched just after 11.

The Londoner, Sea Palling – 30th July 2022

  • July 30, 2022August 15, 2022
  • by LSAC

We had a new sonar to test out so we arranged to meet up and launch early. We headed about 10 miles North of Sea Palling and were soon joined by another boat from the Peterborough club. We dropped the grapple and waited for slack tide.

Rosalie, Weybourne – 19th July 2022

  • July 19, 2022August 15, 2022
  • by LSAC

A really early start, getting up at 5am to catch the morning low slack tide. Arriving at Weybourne beach car park at 6:45, it was very quiet and I saw a montjac deer walking down the road towards the car park.

Gildenburgh – 17th July 2022

  • July 17, 2022August 15, 2022
  • by LSAC

It was too windy for RIB diving off the coast so we headed inland instead to the nearest quarry for some Ocean Diver open water training. We planned to arrive between 8:30 and 9:00 to make the most out the day.

Rosalie, Weybourne – 13th July 2022

  • July 13, 2022August 15, 2022
  • by LSAC

The dive was so enjoyable yesterday and the conditions were still good so it seemed rude not to dive it again. It was a high tide though which meant getting to Weybourne by 7:30 in the morning.

Rosalie, Weybourne – 12th July 2022

  • July 12, 2022August 15, 2022
  • by LSAC

The conditions were good for a midweek dive off the Norfolk coast at Weybourne on the wreck of the Rosalie. We arrived at Weybourne car park just before 13:30 and bumped into some old friends who kindly shuffled up so we could park our car at the side of the road.
