13th March 2017 – Playa Chica, Puerto del Carmen
First dive for the other 6 in Playa Chica bay. Playa Chica is teaming with life from the shoals of seabream, white bait, salema, white bream to the colourful parrot fish and wrasse to the more distinct puffer fish and cuttlefish, they are all to be found in the shallows. Ideal dives for open water divers and more advanced and tec divers doing their safety or deco stops.

Entered from the beach, surface swam to the end of the rocks, dropped down and went to the right. Saw scorpion fish, lizard fish, flounders, garden eels and arrow crab spider. Alison spotted a seahorse. SB
Simon, Mark C, Alison, Chis, Jon and I did our first shore dive. Debs was our guide, saw a sea horse, some barracuda, some leggy spider crabs, plenty of fish including babies. I felt very cold in my wetsuit. JB
Clear, lots of fish including lizardfish, greater weever, mullet, bream, wrasse, anchovy, barracuda. Also arrowhead crab and seahorse. Mostly shallow, mixture of rock and sand. MC
Beach entry surface swim to bay end desend to sandy bottom with mixed human produced objects, mullet, bream, weever, wrasse, barracuda, seahorse, spiral tube worms, sea slugs, snakelocks anemone, breadcrum sponge encrusting sponge, red, brown and green algae. CJ
Walked in off beach, swan along rock before descending onto sandy bottom, Allison found seahorse on ropes , saw barracuda in the blue. JC
