3 January 2020 – Gildenburgh
For 2020 LSAC members have set up the 2020 challenge which involves trying to achieve various tasks throughout the year related to diving. One of these being at least one dive every month.
Many will agree this is more difficult in the winter months. Especially for those of us that live on the East Coast as the visibility essentially means we are restricted to inland sites unless we want to travel.
To kick January off James, Will, Simon, Paul and Hayden headed to Gildenburgh to get Januarys dive ticked off nice and early.
The visibility was about as good as Guildy gets with a green 3-4 meters in the deeper parts and a bluer 5-6 meters in the shallow where the sunlight could reach.
Will started his Sport Diver open water lessons incorporating DSMB and navigation practice with Paul and Hayden, while James and Simon had two fun dives exploring the deeper parts and ticking off every site on the Guildy list.
It was a quiet, pleasant days diving. A good start to the year.
