26th July 2020 – Sheringham chalk reef near Burlington…
For the second dive of the day the group traveled to Sheringham to dive the chalk reef 2 hours after high tide at Cromer.
- Divers: Nigel, James
- Max Depth: 10.2 metres
- Dive Time: 59
- Water temperature: 18 degrees C
- Viz: 6 metres
- Dive Details: Finned out to the end of the groynes then descended onto the seabed of chalk stones and sea weed. Headed out in a northerly direction. Several small lobsters, lots of fry and crabs. Went a considerable distance constantly finning. Changed direction after 25 minutes. Came across some gullies, large crabs were in their holes plus a couple of lobsters. I popped up to the surface for a navigation check. A bit of drift due to current flowing. Adjusted bearing and headed to shore.
