We decided not to do a second dive off Sea Palling after the early morning disappointment, so after washing the RIB and packing up our kit we drove 14 miles to somewhere we knew the viz would be better.

After missing the wreck previously, we arrived early and did a grid search where we saw large drop offs of 5-6m then flat again, confusing. Either way, we shot the wreck on our third attempt and suddenly realised it was slack water!!!

6 members of of Lowestoft Sub Aqua Club launched the RIB from Sea Palling to look for the wreck of the British cargo ship which was torpedoed and sunk in 1942.

Nigel Powley met up with Alex Liddon and dived Admiralty Pier just to the west of Dover, a pleasant shore dive with a max depth of 12 metres. Usual life to see on the dive includes tompots, lobsters, pouting, pipefish, squat lobsters, velvet swimming crabs, edible crabs, spider crabs etc.
