3 members of Lowestoft Sub Aqua Club travelled to Gildenburgh Waters for some Ocean Diver open water training and some refresher training. The weather was mild and dry with a slight wind.

Dive 1

• Dive Time: 14 minutes
• Water temperature: 14 degrees C
• Viz: 2-3 metres
• Dive details: This was the first open water dive for Wasil. Entering the water at the shallow training platform that was showing signs of age with green slippery boards, some of which were missing. After the initial shock of the cold water entering his wet suit, Wasil did a weight check and the 3 divers went to the pool table where they saw some perch and crayfish. They ascended from the pool table to the surface and got out.

• Dive details: Entry from the shore opposite the shop portacabin down to pool table near the bus. Vertical ascent from top of the bus.
