16th July 2021 – Chesil Cove, Portland
We left Portland and drove towards Weymouth to investigate diving the wreck of the Royal Adelaide but decided against it and returned to Portland to dive Chesil Cove again.
Some of the divers from the morning dive returned to the campsite, others stayed in Portland leaving just five to do the afternoon dive.

- Divers: Simon, Jane
- Max Depth: 14.9 metres
- Dive Time: 31 minutes
- Water temperature: degrees C
- Viz: metres
- Dive Details: We swam out on the surface a little while as a group of five. Then descended to about six metres and followed James, Jason and Nigel as they headed West. There wasn’t much to see, just a sandy bottom for most of the way. Eventually we came to some wreckage and some rocks and some fish and crabs making it more interesting. We were diving on cylinders from a previous dive so not long after we arrived at the best part of the dive, it was time to turn around and head back. We let the others know and set a course East. Shortly after leaving the other three we saw another cuttlefish. There was more to see on the return journey as we swam slightly to the right of the sandy desolate area. The other three surfaced at the shoreline shortly after we did.
