One former member Alexander Liddon & one current member Simon Boor of LSAC met at Gildenburgh to remember LSAC member George Shepherd who sadly passed away during lockdown.

There is plenty of activity as the beach is a favourite with divers heading out into the Skomer Marine Nature Reserve. It’s a very steep walk from the car park down to the beach. If you’re planning to visit, check out the tide times to make sure you’ve plenty of beach to play on and that you don’t get cut off by the incoming tide!
Club member Paul and his girlfriend Sara decided to head west to visit the Wally the walrus that took up residence at Tenby, Wales recently, and to go visit Skomer Island’s puffins! Paul managed to get diving St Martins Haven on two of the days, buddying up with friends who live out that way.

On arrival the weather was glorious with clear skies and sun, shorts and t-shirt weather!

On entry to the site, we were warned that the vis at shallow depths was particularly poor and that we should observe our separation procedure, that the water temperature was no higher than last time we’d visited, and that we should take extra precautions, as many divers had experienced regulator free-flows!
